Lightvessel

Project Overview

Lightvessel is collection of wall-mounted sculptures paired with an NFT on the Ethereum blockchain. This project was built and designed at the Bauhaus-Universität in Weimar, Germany and presented as the final work of my Master’s Thesis in Mediengestaltung (Media Art & Design). The images in this first series are nature studies that capture natural elements in states of decay and transformation. These detailed images of nature present the beauty and strangeness of the natural world. Each Lightvessel contains a variety of materials including Duratrans film and etched Plexiglas to create the final compositions that are illuminated using low energy LED lights.

Each Lightvessel is presented as an animated 360-degree video of the sculpture. The owner of the NFT will receive the physical sculpture via postal mail. There will be 100 boxes created in the series.
